Services for Young People provides youth work projects, information, advice, guidance, work-related learning and wider support for young people aged 11 to 17 and up to 25 for some vulnerable groups.
Beacon is a free service that helps thousands of young people who have been victims of crime every year, whether or not the crime is reported to the police. Our team are experienced to understand how the young person is feeling and will help them get the support they need to help make things easier.
A Beacon Support Worker will support the young person, meaning that they have a familiar person to talk to each time.
We support young people who are young carers and support a family member who is ill, has a disability or life limiting condition, mental ill-health or misuses substances.
The Young Carers Team listen to every young carer and their family’s concerns and work with them to support the young carer. This includes giving the young person a break from caring, a chance to meet other young carers and talk about the things that affect their life, and supporting the young person to speak to the school about their caring responsibilities.
Our Young Carers Team run free activities in the school holidays and there is also a discount card for all registered carers.
Caudwell Youth provide mentoring for young people aged 11 to 24 for up to two years.

Young Life International aims to share the message of Jesus with young people all over the UK by building relationships with them. The charity works alongside a team of volunteers and the local churches to reach out to young people from 11-18 years old. It holds weekly youth clubs and small group sessions, as well as doing contact work in local schools, providing support and informal mentoring to young people in this potentially turbulent time in their lives.
