Services for Young People provides youth work projects, information, advice, guidance, work related learning and wider support for young people aged 11 to 17 and up to 25 for some vulnerable groups.
Our current projects each aim to address a particular local need, and all contribute towards achieving our vision of all young people engaged, encouraged and empowered.
Our mission is to help people change the direction of their lives, grow as individuals, and live life to its full potential. We offer alcohol and substance misuse and addiction support.

We believe that every young person should have access to free support to help them grow and establish healthy relationships.
As a team of trained professionals with a wealth of experience, we offer a service of excellence to our clients and their families, being sympathetic and caring. We understand about addiction and domestic abuse both with adults and young people. We work with adults and children through counselling and play therapy to impact their lives in a positive way.
Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service provides a range of educational programmes for young people including Fire Cadets, Juvenile Fire-setter Intervention Scheme and Life Project.
Hertfordshire Police’s specialist team targets early intervention to educate young people about gang and knife crimes. Professionals can refer young people if they are not currently engaged with another agency.
Hertford Regional College (HRC) is a further education college with campuses in Broxbourne and Ware. It offers a wide range of full-time and part-time courses for 16-19 year olds, including professional and technical education and training, apprenticeships, provision for learners with high needs, higher education and commercial programmes.

Aged between 16 and 26 and keen to make a difference in your community? By joining our Young Ambassador programme, you’ll be opening up a world of opportunities for yourself. As well as representing the young people who live in your community, this is a chance to learn new skills, get some volunteering experience and play a role in shaping services in your area.
Nightstop is a unique project which relies on community hosting to provide a safe, welcoming place for young people in crisis.
Volunteer hosts open their homes to people who are facing a night on the streets or sleeping in an unsafe place.

SYPRC consists of the Bullfields Centre and field in Cutforth Road. The main intended beneficiaries are young people resident in Sawbridgeworth up to the age of 17. We work closely with Hertfordshire County Council Services for Young People and Clarion Futures to provide opportunities for young people.
The University of Hertfordshire offers a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and short courses. It has two campuses in Hatfield and one in Bayfordbury.
Young Life International aims to share the message of Jesus with young people all over the UK by building relationships with them. The charity works alongside a team of volunteers and the local churches to reach out to young people from 11-18 years old. It holds weekly youth clubs and small group sessions, as well as doing contact work in local schools, providing support and informal mentoring to young people in this potentially turbulent time in their lives.
