Sexual Health Week 2023 is taking place 11-17 September and the theme this year is ‘playing it safe’, something which is at the heart of Services for Young People’s support for young people. Our Advisers and Youth Workers don’t just give people access to free contraception and testing, they also provide information, advice and support which empowers young people to keep themselves safe. We help increase their understanding of healthy relationships and give them the confidence to navigate the world more safely, both online and offline.
Young people aged up to 19 can make an appointment at their local young people’s centre or just drop in during the opening hours.
Our friendly staff can provide:
- Free condoms through our Condom Wallet Scheme
- Free chlamydia and gonorrhoea testing (dual testing)
- Free pregnancy testing
- Sexual and general health and relationships advice
All services are free and confidential.
Care experienced young people, young LGBT+ people, and those with learning difficulties and/or learning disabilities can access these services up to the age of 25.
Opening times, contact details and information about other types of support available at our young people’s centres can be found here:
Young people can also access our sexual health services when they attend our projects for young people that take place every week during term time. Find a project near you here:
If you are a professional who works with a young person who would benefit from support with their sexual health and relationships, please signpost them to our services or make a referral.
