10 October 2024

Services for Young People has launched a new Recruitment Hub, offering young people a seamless gateway to education, employment and training opportunities.

Services for Young People (SfYP) offers a diverse range of services and employment programmes for young people aged 16-25 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) and those aged 15+ who are at risk of not progressing into education or training. Our new Recruitment Hub brings all these services together in one place, making them more accessible and understandable to young people, their parents/carers and professionals who work with young people.

The SfYP Recruitment Hub also aims to bridge the gap between young job seekers and employers across Hertfordshire. Employers who are looking to recruit young people or who want to shape their future workforce by offering young people work-related learning opportunities or work experience can find details of the many ways we can support them.

The SfYP Recruitment Hub aims to transform the futures of young people in Hertfordshire through:

  • Collaborative working: Partnering with professionals, employers, schools, colleges and other agencies to reduce unemployment among young people
  • Comprehensive support: Providing a ‘front door’ to a wealth of employability resources and support
  • Targeted outreach: Focusing on young people at risk of not progressing into education or training and those who need additional support to identify and achieve their goals
  • Skills development: Support to address skills gaps in key sectors as laid out in the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) by helping young people gain the skills they need to get a good job and increase their prospects
  • New opportunities: Creating occupationally focused pathways for those furthest from the labour market
  • Inclusive growth: Increasing work experience, training, apprenticeship, internship and other employment opportunities for care leavers and young people with SEND

Whether you are a young person, a parent or carer, a professional who works with young people or an employer, please visit the SfYP Recruitment Hub now to find out about the comprehensive support and diverse range of employment programmes we offer and how they can be accessed.
