National Citizen Service (NCS) with Services for Young People (SfYP) is an opportunity for young people aged 16 to 17 to take part in challenging teambuilding activities, learn valuable life skills and work with other young people to make a difference in their communities during their school holidays.

At the event the young people reunited with their NCS teams to talk about their achievements, each group giving a presentation about their social action project and what they did to raise money for their chosen charity.

The young people enjoyed catching up with their friends and Youth Workers in a fun and friendly atmosphere where they could reflect on the lasting impact the programme had on their confidence and independence. Many parents/carers also attended the event to help celebrate the young people’s successes.

NCS graduates can join the SfYP NCS Changemakers Project if they wish to continue planning and carrying out local community action projects.
