Herts Parent Carer Involvement Annual Survey 2024

18 October 2024

From 13 October until 3 November, families of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities in Hertfordshire can have their voices heard by taking part in the Herts Parent Carer Involvement Annual Survey. The experiences shared will be used to help improve future services.

Herts Parent Carer Involvement (HPCI) represents the views of parents and carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Hertfordshire. The organisation works with local health, education, and social care services to improve outcomes for children and young people.

The survey aims to find out more about the experiences of families, identifying what works well and what needs improvement. The feedback will help Hertfordshire County Council and the NHS to improve future SEND support and services, focusing on the areas that matter most to parents and carers.

Parents and carers with children and young people aged 0 to 25 are encouraged to take part. No diagnosis, Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP), or HPCI membership is required. In 2023, over 900 parents and carers participated, providing valuable data that influenced discussions with decision-makers about SEND services.

To ensure as many parents and carers as possible have their views included, please encourage any families you know or work with to complete the survey:
