Services for Young People (SfYP) is working in partnership with Public Health Hertfordshire to deliver the annual survey about the health and wellbeing of young people in the county. By taking part, young people can have their voices heard about what matters most to them.
This valuable information helps schools, commissioners, and service providers better understand and support young people’s needs. Last year, 16,293 young people completed the survey. Schools found the data extremely useful for identifying and monitoring the issues faced by their students and demonstrating to Ofsted the impact of the support they provide.
What does the survey cover?
This year’s survey includes questions on:
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Drugs and alcohol
- Healthy eating and physical activity
- Relationships
- Safety and bullying
The survey was created with input from local organisations, education professionals, and young people to ensure it covers the most important and relevant topics.
The results will be analysed by the Health Intelligence team and published early next year.
How to take part
The survey is anonymous, confidential, and takes about 20 minutes to complete. It is open to all young people aged 11 to 19 from Monday 4 November until Friday 20 December 2024.
Please encourage any young people you know or work with to complete the survey so we can hear from as many young people as possible:
